What do I need to run it?

Skribbly is 100% bring-your-own-keys and runs in Google Chrome on desktop. You'll need three things: an Anthropic (Claude) key for the script, an OpenAI key for the illustrations, and a voice — either an ElevenLabs or Fish Audio key, or your own uploaded recording. The app links to each provider's "get key" and "check credits" pages, and you enter your licence key once in Settings.

How long does a video take?

Recording runs in real time, so a 90-second video takes about 90 seconds to record — the tab needs to stay open and in front while it does. A 6-scene video is typically around 1.5–2 minutes long, 9 scenes around 2:40, and 12 scenes about 3–3.5 minutes.

What does it cost to run?

You bring your own keys and pay the providers directly. The script is under 10¢. Illustrations run about $1.25 for a 6-scene video, $2.00 for 9 scenes and $2.75 for 12 in OpenAI credit. Voice is billed per character by ElevenLabs or Fish Audio — or free if you upload your own recording. There's no subscription to Skribbly itself.

The topics, scripts and videos you generate are processed between your browser and your AI providers. We do not collect, store, or have access to the content you create. Projects auto-save in your own browser and rendered videos are downloaded to your device, not stored by us.
